Target Group

ü  Must Certification for all aspiring career in Six Sigma (Green Belt / Black Belt / Master Black Belt)

  • Final Year Engineering students who have done their summer training in any industry,
    preferably in manufacturing
  • Bachelor of Science or Diploma Engineers with minimum 1 year of working experience
  • Any other Graduation with minimum 3 years of experience
  • Pass the Q-SSGB certification – amateur or pass the QSSGB entrance test

6.    Measure Phase – Data collection strategies, CLT, MSA, capability analysis, identification product /process variables using multiple methods, high & level prioritization (Cause & Effect Matrix) of impacting variables

7.    Analyze Phase – Detailed variable analysis using FMEA, Action planning for immediate gains, Data interpretation using various graphical analysis, correlation / regression, Hypothesis testing, avoiding analysis paralysis

8.    Improve Phase – Validating highest impacting variables, Design of Experiments (2k, Full Factorial), Optimal Solution Identification

9.    Control Phase – Various Strategies of process control, Control Plan design, Training teams for new control plans, SPC, error proofing etc. Project to Process Transition.

Module 1:


Day 1

DATA ANALYSIS FUNDAMENTALS (Not needed if already a Yellow Belt)

Day 2


·      Basic Statistics – 5 steps with the concept and application

·     Project Management for Six Sigma Projects (Critical Path Method, Analysis and tracking)

·      Types of Data – Discrete (Nominal, Ordinal) and Continuous (Interval & Ratio)

·     Basic Process Management and important issues for Six Sigma Projects

·      Location / Central tendency of Data (Mean, Median, Mode)*

·     Six Sigma Metrics (Business, Primary, Negative consequence, Financial)

·      Spread of Data – Range, Variance, Standard Deviation & COV*

·     Scoping Down Tools (Macro Map, VSM, Tree Diagram, Pareto Analysis*)

·      Shape of Data and Predictions – Histogram, Distributions, Normal Distribution, probability calculations*

·     Base lining the performance, Time series analysis* and target setting, Improvement potential estimates

·      Introduction to Minitab* – a statistical software and parallel calculations in excel

·     Problem definition, objective statements, metric tracking

·      Data Collection Methods.

·     Team Constitutions and selection

Day 4

·     Process Specification and Control Limits

·      Accuracy and Precision – definition and types

·     Definition of Process Capability (Cp, Zst, Cpk and Pp, Zlt, Ppk)*

·      Measurement System Analysis (MSA) for attribute data* –terms, definitions and class room exercise

·     Capability analysis and interpretation for improvement*

·      Measurement System Analysis (MSA) for attribute data* - Live Exercise with data collection, calculation and improvement plans

·     Process Definition and its elements

·      Measurement System Analysis (MSA) for variable data* –terms, definitions and  class room exercise

·     Identification product /process variables using Ishikawa Diagram, PFD diagnosis technique, KPIV / KPOV Matrix

·      Measurement System Analysis (MSA) for variable data* –  Live Exercise with data collection, calculation and improvement plans

·     High & level prioritization (Cause & Effect Matrix) of impacting variables



Day 5


·     Detailed variable analysis using FMEA

·     Design of severity, occurrence and detection scales

·     Action planning for immediate gains

·     Tips for small project selection and dividing among team



Certification Exam
  • There are 5 exams, one each for Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control
  • Define and Measure Exams can be taken after Module 1
  • Analyze, Improve and Control can be taken after Module 2
  • Exam will remain open for 30 days after last training day
Projects @ Cost
  • In case, candidate seeks professional certificate he has to Lead Green Belt Project.
    Based on participation and contributions in the project, candidate will
    be given professional certificate. The project participation shall be
    at additional cost.

Q-SSGB - Amateur Certificate (Attend course, pass exam)

Q-SSGB - Professional Certificate (Attend course, pass exam, complete project in guidance of our
trainer or guide approved by us)

Calibration Programs @ cost

ASQ SSGB certification offered by American Society of Quality is considered as base content,
which in addition also has Minitab knowledge. Any Q- SSGB - Professional certified
candidate will be able to acquire ASQ certificate with little effort. If candidate choose
to take calibration exam, the fee of exam charged by ASQ shall be
borne by the candidate in addition to course fees.
